Court Bundling
With environmental issues taking centre stage, many courts and legal services are embracing the use of electronic Court Bundles for family or general litigation. In fact Her Majesty's Court Services Business Plan of 2007-2008 states that by 2010 HMCS aims to improve efficiency by "replacing the paper file in civil and family cases with an electronic one".*
Iken was first to market with Court Bundling software designed to take the manual work, stress and hassle out of producing these documents for lawyers and support staff. By automating the indexing, sectioning and pagination Iken Court Bundling frees busy legal teams from these onerous tasks so that they can concentrate on the more professional aspects of their work.
Over 30 clients are now using our Court Bundling software, with the majority reporting savings of between £4,000 and £12,000 per annum in paper reduction alone, depending upon the size of the authority. Iken Court Bundling is available as a stand-alone solution, or as part of the fully integrated Iken Case and Matter Management Suite, and delivers:
- Proven savings – replacing paper court bundles with electronic ones results in savings in paper, postage and archiving costs
- Reduce the time taken - freeing professionals from time consuming production tasks like collation, pagination and indexing
- Ease of use - simply open the court bundle file and add in the appropriate documents
- High levels of flexibility – re-paginate and re-index at any time
- Improved accuracy – automated indexing ensures errors are minimised and reduces the stress involved in revision control
- Enhanced distribution – court bundles are created in PDF for secure electronic distribution and format controlled for print. Bundles saved to disk can be password protected and more secure than posting paper documents.
